Man keeps McDonalds burger 14 years

Next time you tuck into a burger, spare a thought for a man from Utah who has kept a burger he purchased from McDonald’s in 1999.

The burger, despite being 14 years old, is still described as looking the same as when it was purchased

David Whipple told US talk show The Doctors that he kept the burger for a month to show people how enzymes worked.

He then put it back in the original packaging and forgot about it, as he tossed it to the back of his truck.

The 63-year-old continued: “It sat in my coat pocket for a year or two after it sat in my truck. When we discovered it, we were like, ‘Oh my gosh, I can’t believe it looks the same way!'”

Show host Travis Stork noted that the burger showed no signs of fungus or mould, only that it was rock hard. One host mentioned that the burger had been “completely preserved”.

The only change noted in the burger was that the pickle had disintegrated.

Whipple now says he is keeping the burger to show his grandchildren and educate them about fast food.

Makes you wonder what is actually in them to last that long?
