Heatwave warning in place for this weekend

The Spanish Met office has issued a warning as Spain is heading into another heat wave later this week with temperatures starting to rise in all areas.
The highest temperatures will be seen on Friday & Saturday, and will not fall until the following Tuesday with temperatures set to reach over 40c.

The prediction comes from Spain’s State Meteorological Agency, AEMET. Spokesperson, Ana Casal, said that a deep storm will affect part of the Atlantic off the coasts of Portugal, ‘sucking’ hot air from subtropical zones and Africa and send it to the Spain and the Canaries. Temperatures will rise very quickly, but will drop ‘very slowly’ over a number of days.

AEMET has said these high maximum temperatures, although they part of summer, are rarely seen in some of the places where they expected to hit this weekend.
